If you're printing on glossy or semi-gloss photo papers, the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF uses the photo black ink; it uses the matte black when printing on smooth-finish, matte, and fine-art papers. Works with Non-paper Based Inkjet Media. Keith has been seeing how it performs and has written up some of his thoughts on using this printer for fine art photographic printing. The overall tone of the inks is different. The difference between High and Highest was noticeable in some fine detail when printing on a glossy paper, but at normal viewing distances for large prints was not that obvious. With PosterArtist, you can integrate variable data, enlarge scanned data, import presentations and other office documents, and bring in images directly from most digital cameras.
Imagepprograf directions were extremely easy to follow. It is heavy as well, although there are built-in handholds allowing two people to lift it easily. The LUCIA inks also deliver prints with smooth colour graduation, reduced graininess and bronzing, for results that are consistently impressive.
The discs come with a print driver, online manual, and a well-designed plug-in for printing directly from within Adobe Photoshop versions 7 through CS3.

This paper has a bright white tint, perfect for accurate ;rinter applications. A large panoramic print One of the uses I make of big printers and roll paper is to print large panoramic prints. I was unable to spot any problems in real world images. Do remember, if you try it out, that many test images like the Datacolor one are supplied as an 8 bit JPEG.
Canon UK lent us an iPF large format printer for several weeks to review. Other software allows for maintenance of available media types, both in imaveprograf printer and driver.
The Prinyer imagePROGRAF iPF prints on roll paper up to 24in mm wide, although like many roll-fed units it can take sheets one at a time, from 8x10in up to poster paper at 20x30in in size. I did not find it hard to set up and get started. Built-in Calibration The iPF printer is equipped with the ability to recalibrate itself to the original optimal factory settings and apply any necessary adjustments.
This works very well. Since I want a border, I make sure to deactivate the paper saving mode. One sheet, front output.
Maximum Roll Print Length. For more fragile paper, such as some of the new coated papers, this might be more than something you can smooth over with your thumbnail. The printer is moderately quiet in operation, and silent when it enters power saving mode.
No shortage of available media sizes. With the paper saving trim option, this used up less than 3 inches of roll paper.
As with any printer, it takes a little time to settle in with papers that work best with your work, Date published: You can over-ride the warning on the front panel and continue printing, but eventually it will just stop. When it comes to speed and accuracy, the L-COA processor is ipt6100 a league of its own.

That is, the full 16 bit data in your image gets used by the printer driver.
