Linux Driver for Quickcam USB cameras
I am looking at changing to a Linux OS that will run it, and one that either has the drivers pre-complied or has a simple, straight-forward driver installation process. But I could not get a clear idea. In fact, they only list downloads for Windows on their page: Thus, I conclude it is a Skype problem. So these webcams work in Ekiga, Cheese and Firefox.
